Founded in 2003 by Mr. and Mrs. Wang this experienced couple had six restaurants under their belt while cutting their teeth in the business for over twenty years. Since 2004 Mr. King has been awarded a “Best of the Best Restaurants in Town”. It’s due to Jenny's outlook and attitude. She says about customer service, “You should understand what you might lose if you miss one guest”. “Provide excellent service to insure that customers go away with a satisfied smile”. With this philosophy in mind, Jenny runs a tight ship and is particular about quality control and management. Loyal customers have been retained for years. Says Jenny proudly, “Mr. King has been running consistently well even though the whole country is suffering from the financial crisis”. The partnership between her and her husband is a work of art so to speak.
Improvements in the future might come in the form of “a bigger kitchen allowing us to cook all that I can think about,” hopes Jenny. She has an abundance of cooking ideas using various delicacies which are impossible to prepare now in the very limited kitchen. She hopes to expand the restaurant to the next shop.
The House Garlic Shrimp is an original of Mr. King's. The shrimps are dressed with egg whites and starch and then deep fried. Fresh mashed garlic and a homemade sauce are then poured on the shrimps to give zing and spice alongside a sweet and sour aftertaste.
The Taiwanese Rice Noodles are made with a melange of shrimp, chicken, snow peas, spring onions and bean sprouts. Fragrance is released from red onion which is often used in oriental cuisine. The noodle dish is topped with coriander and meat which prepared in traditional Taiwan style.Mr King
